Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the northern territory of Australia is listed as a world heritage by UNESCO. It is located about 1400 Kilometers south to Darwin and 440 kilometers south-west of Alice Springs. This national park features two important things, first Ayers Rock which is also known as Uluru, and second is Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga, 40 kilometers to its west.

Ayers Rock or Uluru is a massive rock found in which at sunset catches the sunlight turning fiery red. Uluru is red sandstone which is world largest at 9.4 Kilometers or 5.6 Miles around. The Caves around the base of rock were used by Aboriginal people for shelter. These caves have been decorated with paintings.

40 kilometers to the west of Uluru there is Kata Tjuta, which is also known as The Olgas. Archiological work says that Aboriginal people have lived there at least for 22,000 years. There is $25 entry fee into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park which is valid for three consecutive days.
